040 – Consumerism And Being Intentional (With Sara Sullivan)

DETAILS:
Black Friday has passed and now we find ourselves smack dab in the middle of the Christmas rush. Everyone’s crowding the department stores and picking out that perfect gift for those special people in their lives…. But why? - This week, Cody and Elaine are talking with Sara Sullivan. Sara is a personal inspiration to both Cody and Elaine in their evaluation of their own life and what they consume. They are talking about Consumerism Christianity and how it can directly affect your finances, mental health, and personal freedom. - Remember, to consume something is not the enemy. The problem comes when our consuming becomes what consumes us.

DEFINITION:
con·sum·er·ism: /kənˈso͞oməˌrizəm/ - the preoccupation of society with the acquisition of consumer goods.
