059 – The Humanitarian Christ

There is more to Christianity than preaching a loud message and more to good works than making someone comfortable. The sweet spot is in the relationships we build. This week, we are talking about humanitarian Christianity. We discuss how too often, faith circles become an echo chamber focussed more on themselves than the needs of those around them, how we create social tiers in church, and how often times racism, sexism, and classism can dictate how we view others. We also talk about how to find a proper balance and how our love towards people is first seen, then felt, and lastly heard.

DEFINITION:
hu·man·i·tar·i·an: /(h)yo͞oˌmanəˈterēən/ - concerned with or seeking to promote human welfare.
