“What is Church?”
And how do you define it? Is it a building you attend on specific days of the week? Is it more of a diverse, like-hearted community? Or is it a mixture of both? You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Church isn’t a building; We are the Church.” But if you’ve experienced church hurt or have never attended a single church service in your life, it may be hard to convey what it truly is.
Once you’ve defined what Church is (or isn’t) for yourself, this opens the door for even more conversation to flourish, such as defining what a healthy Church body looks like and Spiritual leadership. If you feel like you have more questions than answers, this series is for you!
This week, we are starting our 3-part series of “Green Flags,” where we explore what makes a healthy church, creating a healthy community, and what to look for when in a healthy Spiritual leader. As we share our personal ideas of what makes a Church in part one, we also explore the difference between Church as a noun vs. Church as a verb.
